We’re looking for a dependable and experienced Make-Ready/Maintenance Technician to join our team at an apartment community in the North Austin, TX area.
If you’re a hands-on professional who takes pride in your work, enjoys solving maintenance issues, and knows how to get apartments ready for new residents, we’d love to hear from you!
Make-Ready / Maintenance Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete apartment make-readies and turnovers to ensure units are clean, functional, and move-in ready.
- Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general apartment and property maintenance.
- Complete basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliances.
- Perform HVAC-related maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Complete preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Maintain the property's curb appeal and overall appearance.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and team members.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service to residents, coworkers, and contractors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in apartment maintenance, make-ready, hotel maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- EPA/HVAC Certification is required.
- Experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Must have access to basic hand tools and a power drill.
- Having your own complete set of tools is a PLUS!
- Ability to handle a physically demanding workload.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
