Position Summary:

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in Savannah, GA who is seeking a Design Engineer who will develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing facility layouts that improve production efficiency, material flow, workplace safety, and overall operational performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 2D and 3D manufacturing plant layouts
- Strong engineering and CAD design skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes

Job Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Create conceptual layouts, detailed equipment arrangements, facility plans, and installation drawings.
- Evaluate existing plant layouts and recommend improvements to maximize floor space utilization, production capacity, and operational efficiency.
- Design layouts for new manufacturing facilities, production expansions, equipment relocations, and process changes.
- Maintain accurate facility drawings, equipment locations, floor plans, and layout documentation.
- Ensure layouts account for equipment clearances, operator access, maintenance requirements, utilities, and building constraints.
- Analyze material flow, production routing, work-in-process inventory, and movement of personnel and equipment.
