Building Operator
Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: Full‑Time
Department: Facilities / Maintenance
We’re looking for a skilled Building Operator to support the daily operation and maintenance of our facility. This role ensures all building systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems (air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps)
- Perform routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Complete preventive maintenance and minor repairs (filters, belts, lubrication, adjustments)
- Respond to service requests, alarms, and building emergencies
- Maintain logs, work orders, and equipment records in the CMMS
- Support vendor coordination, safety procedures, and compliance activities
What You Bring
- 1–2 years of building operations or facility maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to safety
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, access rooftops, and work in mechanical spaces.
