Job Description

We are looking for a Project Lead to support a manufacturing operation by coordinating the movement of production assets between the facility and external vendors. This long-term contract position is well suited for someone who can balance administrative tracking with regular communication on the manufacturing floor. The person in this role will help keep vendor rework activities organized, monitor schedules and returns, and work closely with internal teams to maintain visibility across the process. 100% onsite, M-F, 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the weekly outbound and inbound flow of manufacturing assets sent to outside vendors for rework.

• Maintain accurate Excel-based tracking logs to monitor shipment status, vendor activity, and returned materials.

• Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm timelines, follow up on open items, and resolve delays that could affect operations.

• Partner with the manufacturing floor manager and other internal stakeholders to gather updates and ensure asset information remains current.

• Review shipment activity and documentation to confirm materials are properly prepared, dispatched, and received back into the facility.

• Provide day-to-day organization for the project by tracking milestones, escalating concerns, and helping keep priorities on schedule.

• Participate in training and apply established processes to support consistent execution throughout the assignment.

• Experience in project coordination, account management, operations support, or a similar role requiring active follow-up and organization.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to maintain trackers, update status reports, and manage detailed records accurately.
• Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments and communicating directly with shop floor personnel.
• Ability to manage timelines, monitor multiple moving parts, and keep assignments progressing with minimal oversight.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with vendors, internal teams, and operational leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and a dependable approach to tracking assets and documentation.
• Ability to wear steel-toed boots daily while working in designated production areas.
