Structural Welder – Must-Have Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Closed Root 3G MIG/Fluxcore Fill & Cap Weld Test
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience required
- Experience operating MIG and Fluxcore welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Intermediate math skills and ability to read a tape measure
- Strong understanding of volts, amps, and welding machine adjustments
- Ability to troubleshoot welding and production issues
- Basic safety training required
- Ability to identify defects and follow quality procedures
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Structural Welder – Position Summary
The Structural Welder is responsible for setting up and operating advanced welding equipment to fabricate and repair structural components while maintaining high-quality production standards. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot welding issues, minimize scrap and rework, and ensure all finished welds meet company and quality specifications.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of producing quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Structural Welder – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate advanced welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform MIG and Fluxcore welding according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Inspect finished welds and products for quality and completeness
- Troubleshoot welding equipment and make machine adjustments as needed
- Maintain production standards and minimize scrap and rework
- Participate in process improvement efforts to increase safety, efficiency, and quality
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Complete production tracking and basic data entry as required
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned
