Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
- Conduct lifting tasks with safe lifting practices when moving trash and cleaning materials
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas regularly
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and students
Experience
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is advantageous
- Background in industrial cleaning or residential can be beneficial for versatile custodial tasks
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence and lifting techniques to prevent injuries
- Customer service skills are valuable for interacting professionally with staff and visitors during routine duties
