SyMec helps deliver mission-critical technology and engineering solutions while protecting the systems that warfighters and national security professional rely on every day. We’re looking for a SEIT Engineer who wants their work to matter.
As a SEIT Engineer, you'll carry defense systems through their whole lifecycle: defining requirements, integrating hardware and software, and verifying that the finished system does what the customer needs. You'll work across engineering disciplines, with subcontractors, and with government stakeholders, and you'll own the technical thread from design reviews through test and delivery.
The Role
- Develop, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements, keeping traceability through verification
- Author and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including SEMPs, ICDs, SRSs, and CONOPS
- Plan and run integration activities across hardware, software, and external interfaces
- Develop test plans, procedures, and reports; lead and support lab, factory (FAT), and site (SAT) acceptance testing
- Build and execute Verification Cross-Reference Matrices (VCRMs) using test, demonstration, analysis, and inspection
- Troubleshoot integration and test anomalies and drive root cause analysis and corrective action
- Prepare for and support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and government milestone events
- Manage configuration baselines and engineering change processes
- Work with cybersecurity engineers so system designs meet RMF and ATO requirements
- Build system models in MBSE tools to support architecture and trade studies
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field
- [3–5]+ years of systems engineering, integration, and/or test experience on DoD or aerospace programs
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, or Jama
- Solid understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle (V-model) and DoD acquisition milestones
- Hands-on experience writing and executing test procedures in a lab or field environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting at customer technical reviews
- U.S. citizenship (required for clearance)

- Competitive Salary: $115,000 - $187,000
