Job Title: Senior Software Release Engineer (DevOps)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $100/hr - $101.45/hr
Job Description:
- Client is seeking a Senior Software Release Engineer (DevOps) to join our Engineering Technology team.
- In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to use problem-solving and solution design to create CI/CD processes, in compliance with corporate policy, supported by other team members.
- Responsibilities include designing, building, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes that ensure application releases are automated, scalable, reliable, and monitored.
- This position interacts with a variety of teams, including Engineering, Security, and Architecture, to understand the technology needs that deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities:
- Release Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions to release serverless or containerized applications backed by relational (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Dynamo) databases.
- Ensure data integrity by implementing automated quality checks, regression testing, validation frameworks, and anomaly monitoring working with internal and external data providers to customize data feeds and mappings.
- Project Delivery & Solution Design
- Independently plan, manage, and deliver small to medium-sized projects end-to-end (requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-implementation support), while also contributing technical components to larger cross-functional programs.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate development, data validation, and analysis workflows.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on new technologies, AI, and best practices; share insights and contribute to design standards across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4+ years of experience in release engineering or DevOps. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a masters degree and 2 years of experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years of experience in a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in release engineering working with applications deploying to cloud environments across multiple functional areas (cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, monitoring, and database migration).
- Experience in design, development, and implementation of scalable CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions).
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative).
- Experience working with Git.
- Experience working with AI-related tools such as Claude or Copilot.
- Experience implementing new tools into environments.
