Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Director to join a large-scale, complex capital project currently in the construction and execution phase. This is a critical leadership role supporting a multi-billion-dollar program, where you will drive performance visibility, accountability, and strategic project controls integration.

Key Responsibilities
\n
Earned Value & Performance Ownership
\n
Take full ownership of earned value management (EVM) across the project
\n
Define and manage planned value, tracking performance against actuals
\n
Deliver clear, data-driven narratives on project health to senior leadership
\n
Cost, Schedule & Forecast Integration
\n
Integrate cost, schedule, and forecasting into a unified performance framework
\n
Partner closely with cost controllers and scheduling teams
\n
Ensure alignment between CBS, WBS, and Primavera P6 schedules
\n
Develop executive-level reporting with clear trends, risks, and outcomes
\n
Risk Management Leadership
\n
Own the full lifecycle of project risk management
\n
Drive risk identification, quantification, and mitigation strategies
\n
Integrate risk exposure into forecasts and performance reporting
\n
Proactively communicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
\n
Leadership & Accountability
\n
Build and lead a high-performing project controls function
\n
Drive ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team
\n
Challenge assumptions and elevate performance standards
\n
Lead with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
\n
Stakeholder Communication
\n
Serve as a primary interface for project controls across stakeholders
\n
Communicate project performance with clarity and confidence to executive leadership
\n
Ensure transparency and alignment across all reporting functions
\n
Required Qualifications
\n
Extensive experience in project controls on large capital projects
\n
Proven expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM)
\n
Advanced, hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (required)
\n
Strong background in cost, schedule, and performance integration
\n
Experience in construction-phase or CAPEX project environments
\n
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred (Oil & Gas acceptable)
\n
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders
\n
Strong leadership presence with a high level of ownership and accountability
\n
Ability to work onsite full-time
