Job Description
About Lerner
\n
Lerner Solutions is the IT partner for companies in build mode.
\n
\n
We sell across three business units under one roof.
\n
- \n
- Managed IT runs the environment day to day across identity and access, device management, help desk, onboard and offboard, site management, and strategy, handled as one program across every location a client operates.
- IT Design/Build handles end-to-end technology deployment for new offices, stores, warehouses, and restaurants, covering IT architecture design, network engineering, security/access control, AV and digital signage.
- Managed AI puts AI and automation to work on real business problems, including deploying Claude, building custom agents, and embedding fractional AI teams that own the roadmap.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Most companies only do one of those, but our clients tend to need more than one at the same time. Our team designs, deploys, and operates these interconnected environments in a seamless way. We serve fast-growing mid-market companies, often VC or PE backed. We're New York-based with reach into all 50 states. Clients include Warby Parker, Peloton, Odeko, Malin+Goetz, Aescape, Exos, and Amogy.
\n
\n
About the role
\n
You'll be joining our Managed AI team, which puts Claude and automation to work on real client problems: standing up an AI Chief of Staff for an executive, connecting a team's systems so an agent can do real work, or embedding with a client month over month as their fractional AI leadership. This is the senior role on the delivery side, and the most senior we're hiring right now on this team.
\n
\n
You'll run deployments end to end, from the point a deal closes through a client actually using what we built. That means project management, scoping and solutioning the specific engagement, acting as technical lead, and staying hands-on enough to unblock things yourself when needed, though you won't be the primary builder. You'll work closely with the rest of Lerner: the engineers who run these clients' environments day to day, the project managers delivering their builds, and the account side, since our clients often have more than one Lerner relationship running at once.
\n
\n
Training and adoption is a core part of this job, not a handoff at the end. An engagement only works if the people on the other side actually change how they work and keep using what you built after you step back, so you'll be running working sessions, sitting with people who are stuck, and writing documentation people will actually open.
\n
\n
What a week looks like
\n
- \n
- Scoping a new engagement and translating what was sold into a real delivery plan
- Running project management and technical leadership across one or more active client deployments
- Sitting with client teams to get them using what's been built, including running training sessions
- Writing the documentation that makes an engagement repeatable
- Staying close enough to the technical work to unblock the team when something stalls
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
What you bring
\n
- \n
- 5-10 years running deployments inside client organizations: tech consulting, systems integration, software deployment management, or similar. AI-specific experience isn't required
- Comfort owning an engagement end to end rather than a single piece of it
- A teaching instinct. You'd rather sit with someone until they get it than hand off a document and move on
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
This role sits inside a new business line where a lot of process is still being written as we deliver. If you like building the repeatable version of something while also doing the work, this is a good fit.
