Job Description
Introduction:
TechTrend is currently seeking a talented MS Azure Engineer to pave the way for one of our government clients towards a state-of-the-art digital transformation process that focuses around hybrid cloud technologies using the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Candidate must be a US citizen (required for government clearance eligibility).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions in accordance with federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIS).
- Support cloud migration efforts from legacy systems to Azure.
- Configure and manage Azure services including virtual networks, storage, compute, identity, and monitoring.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as, ARM templates and Terraform.
- Use PowerShell to automate environmental operational tasks
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure cloud environments meet agency security requirements.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and cost efficiency using Azure-native tools.
- Maintain documentation and provide training to internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in or with government agencies or contractors.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
- Familiarity with federal compliance standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.).
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and identity governance.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active government security clearance (Public Trust, Secret, or higher).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-prem integration.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub).
Job Location
Hybrid (1 day a week) - Must live within commutable distance to Reston, VA
