Job Description

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control - Foot Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to post guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout airport facilities, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points, noting conditions that may require follow-up.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
Support government location operations by communicating with site personnel and/or emergency response partners regarding security-related matters, service needs, and incident activity.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
