Job Summary United Talent Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead in Charleston, WV. This position is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance operations, overseeing maintenance staff, and performing skilled repairs to residential properties and facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on maintenance experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of building systems and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily assignments and oversee maintenance technicians.
- Perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct property inspections and identify preventive maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Complete work orders, maintain records, and track maintenance supplies.
- Assist with apartment turnovers, renovations, painting, and flooring repairs.
- Ensure maintenance work meets safety and quality standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including occasional after-hours and weekend calls.
Requirements
- MUST have at least 3 years of relevant maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair experience, or equivalent technical training and experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have a valid West Virginia driver's license and good driving record.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Previous leadership or maintenance coordination experience preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
- Ability to work overtime or respond to emergency calls as needed.
