You'll develop and execute test plans, instrument vehicles with state-of-the-art equipment, and collect critical data across test tracks, public roads, and specialized testing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans for vehicle systems and components.
  • Select and implement appropriate instrumentation for vehicle testing.
  • Conduct vehicle testing on test tracks, public roads, and controlled environments.
  • Analyze test data to identify and diagnose performance issues and defects.
  • Document test results, findings, and recommendations in Jira.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test methodologies and standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment for accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in vehicle testing technologies.

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components, including powertrain, chassis, electrical systems.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with automotive testing standards (e.g., SAE) is a plus.
  • Experience with specific testing methodologies (e.g., NVH, durability, reliability) is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes conducting tests on vehicle test tracks, public roads, and controlled environments. The role requires maintaining and calibrating test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Collaboration with diverse teams across design, development, and manufacturing is essential. The position demands staying updated with industry trends and advancements in vehicle testing technologies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Garden Grove, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
