Overview
We're looking for a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support to employees and assist with the day-to-day operation of the company's IT environment. This position is responsible for resolving common hardware, software, account, printer, and connectivity issues while escalating more complex problems to the IT Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 technical support to employees in person and remotely.
- Respond to, document, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot Windows and macOS computers, applications, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including computer preparation and account setup.
- Provide basic support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Assist users with password resets, MFA enrollment, and basic account-access issues.
- Install approved software, updates, and applications on company computers.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, conference-room equipment, and other office technology.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment inventory.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of Wi-Fi, network connections, switches, access points, and other infrastructure under the direction of the IT Manager.
- Maintain documentation for common technical issues and procedures.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
Requirements
- Associate degree or technical training in Information Technology preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
- 1–2 years of IT support experience in a professional office environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, printers, and networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical employees.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong customer-service skills and professional attitude.
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications are helpful but not required:
- CompTIA A+
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move computer and IT equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
- Ability to work underneath desks, connect equipment, and perform basic cable management when necessary.
- Ability to occasionally work in hot or non-climate-controlled environments, such as warehouses, when installing, troubleshooting, or maintaining IT and network equipment.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
