Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00+ per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Shift: 2nd Shift + $0.50 Shift Differential
Location: Lewisville, TX

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the functionality and reliability of facility equipment, conveyor systems, and building infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair facility equipment and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor and automation systems.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.
• Inspect security and fire protection alarm systems and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, servos, and control systems.
• Utilize boom lifts and scissor lifts to access overhead equipment and building systems.
• Maintain work orders and spare parts inventory through the HIPPO maintenance system.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

✅ High School Diploma or GED required

✅ 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment preferred

✅ Strong knowledge of:

• Electrical systems
• Mechanical systems
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Conveyor systems maintenance
• Automation equipment and controls

✅ Experience troubleshooting:

• PLC controls
• Sensors
• Servos
• Motors
• Control components

✅ Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics

✅ HVAC or Building Maintenance Certification is a plus

✅ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

✅ Able to work independently and as part of a team

✅ Willingness to work overtime as needed

Tools Required

Maintenance Technicians are required to supply their own basic tools, including:

• Wrenches
• Screwdrivers
• Socket sets
• Pliers
• Toolbox

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking
• Reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout shift
• Occasional bending and stooping
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to work at heights when required

Work Environment

This position is located in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Employees may be exposed to:

• Hot and cold temperatures
• Dust and noise
• Moving vehicles and machinery
• Elevated work areas
• Seasonal overtime, weekends, and holiday schedules based on business demands
