DEPARTMENT : Maintenance
REPORTS TO : Maintenance Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Keeps offices, bathrooms, buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition by
performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
(Other duties may be assigned)
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, dusts and vacuums hallways, stairs, office space and all
bathrooms.
Empties trash and garbage containers.
Notifies management concerning need for repairs.
Helps with facilities maintenance.
Cross training in existing processes and new processes.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete
variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach
with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The
employee must regularly lift and/or move 50-70 pounds or more. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. Performs all routine facility maintenance promptly.
2. Maintains compliance with all regulations.
3. Maintains daily security of all assigned areas and buildings. (lock and unlock
routines)
4. Keeps all areas neat and clean.
5. Does not exceed the allowed number of absences as defined in the employee
manual.
6. Exhibits flexibility/willingness to learn new technologies/techniques, and new
processes.
7. Exhibits ability to apply new processes.
