Job Title: 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic/Welder

Job Description

This role focuses on performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on industrial equipment within a cabinet manufacturing environment. The technician ensures production lines run efficiently by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance on machinery and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production.
  • Diagnose and repair issues involving mechanical components such as gears, pneumatic systems, and related machine parts.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance, including inspection, adjustment, and repair of electrical components and systems.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance activities on production machinery to reduce unplanned breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems to identify faults and support efficient machine operation.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with site procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and support continuous improvement of equipment performance.
  • Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience performing mechanical troubleshooting on industrial machinery.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including gears, moving parts, and general machine components.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems and the ability to diagnose and repair pneumatic components.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting to support equipment diagnostics.
  • Background in manufacturing, with exposure to production line equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and understand technical information related to equipment.
  • Electrical aptitude with a solid understanding of basic electrical principles and components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cabinet manufacturing or similar production environment.
  • Familiarity with long, continuous production lines and associated maintenance needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The position is based in a cabinet manufacturing facility featuring long production lines dedicated to the cabinet-making process. You will spend significant time on or near production lines, performing hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment throughout the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
