Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians for projects located in or around Wheeling, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30-$40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyor systems
  • Work with pumps, motors, gear boxes, PLCs, and production equipment
  • Diagnose machine failures and equipment issues
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Replace worn or damaged components
  • Minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support production operations

Requirements:

  • Previous verifiable experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
  • Willingness to work night shifts is preferred
