Software Engineer – Defense Search

OVERVIEW

Immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA who possesses:

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Java, Go, and/or C#.
• Experience building, shipping, and maintaining production React applications.
• Proven ability to independently own and drive projects from definition through delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with manufacturing systems, industrial automation, MES, ERP, or machine integrations (huge plus).

FULL DESCRIPTION:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Building and expanding the proprietary Factory Operating System to orchestrate production from quote to shipment.
• Developing interfaces and integrations for manufacturing equipment to capture real-time production data and generate actionable insights.
• Implementing customer portal features to create a seamless experience from project submission through delivery.
• Creating internal tools that automate workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and increase manufacturing throughput.
• Partnering closely with manufacturing, operations, and production teams to solve real-world problems through software.
• Mentoring teammates and fostering a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a focus on building reliable, maintainable software.
• Experience building software for internal users, customers, or stakeholders, translating their needs into effective solutions.
• Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment where priorities evolve quickly and high ownership is expected.
• Ability to quickly navigate complex systems and established codebases, paired with excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Preferred bonus experience with Go programming, manufacturing environments, or software interacting with physical production processes.

Salary Range: $140,000 to $180,000/year
