About the Role: Client is seeking Network Operators to serve as onsite specialists for network and structured-cabling issues across its AI data-center infrastructure.
\n
- \n
- These individuals will serve as Tier 2/3 escalation points for network and ICT-related incidents, troubleshooting physical-layer faults, validating repairs, and ensuring rapid resolution of issues that may impact customer workloads.
- This role sits within the Data Center Operations organization and is assigned to the River Bend, LA site.
- Network Operators will work closely with Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians, Network Operations, Infrastructure Deployment, Network Reliability Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to maintain the reliability and performance of high-density AI infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate bridges two worlds: a strong foundation in structured cabling and fiber infrastructure, combined with enough network fundamentals to interpret device-level diagnostics and confirm that physical repairs have restored connectivity.
- Candidates should be comfortable serving as a primary onsite network and ICT escalation resource and taking ownership of issues through resolution.

\n
Responsibilities: Serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for network, hardware, and cable-plant incidents reported by customers or detected through monitoring.
\n
- \n
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve physical-layer issues, including fiber faults, transceiver failures, patch-panel problems, and cable-plant defects.
- Help mature the local team beyond troubleshooting by supporting process, metrics, and automated diagnostic operations.
- Perform fiber inspection, cleaning, testing, and light-level validation to identify and remediate connectivity issues.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of automated diagnostic and repair tools.
- Serve as a liaison to Network Operations, Network Reliability Engineering, and Network Automation teams.
- Lead onsite pilots, provide constructive feedback, and monitor adoption of tooling systems.
- Execute structured-cabling repairs, including re-patching failed runs and coordinating complex remediation with Infrastructure Deployment.
- Run post-repair validation tools to confirm device connectivity, LLDP neighbor relationships, and acceptable optical power levels.
- Interpret basic network diagnostics, including light levels, interface status, and neighbor discovery, to validate that physical repairs have restored expected connectivity.
- Document incidents thoroughly and escalate to Network Operations with clear problem statements when issues require logical-layer or deeper investigation.
- Maintain awareness of site topology and cable-plant documentation to accelerate fault isolation.
- Collaborate with Network Operators and Tier 2 teams at other sites to develop and share best practices.
- Build and manage dashboards and views in ticketing systems to provide workload insights and operational visibility.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 technicians and provide guidance on network and ICT triage to reduce unnecessary escalations.
