Job Description

This role is focused on leading cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability by reducing product, manufacturing, and supply chain costs within a highly regulated medical device environment. The Project Manager will partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Procurement to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities while ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity are maintained.

Hybrid role, 2 days in office per week, located in Gainesville, FL.

Key priorities include:

\n

    \n
  • Leading cost reduction, value engineering, and margin improvement projects.
  • \n

  • Analyzing product costs, including bills of materials (BOM), labor, overhead, and supplier expenses.
  • \n

  • Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and execution.
  • \n

  • Evaluating manufacturing and engineering changes for their impact on quality, validation, and regulatory requirements.
  • \n

  • Developing financial models, ROI analyses, and business cases to support cost-saving initiatives.
  • \n

  • Driving supplier-related initiatives, including sourcing changes, negotiations, supplier transitions, and make-versus-buy decisions.
  • \n

  • Establishing standardized processes and metrics for cost-out programs across the organization.
  • \n

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated success leading cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems.
  • \n

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • \n

  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage everyone from executive leadership to engineers, operations teams, and production personnel.
  • \n

  • A sense of urgency and the ability to drive change without creating conflict or resistance.
  • \n
