Speech Language Pathologist SLP Speech Therapist Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Speech Language Pathologist SLP candidates should be eager to join a multi-disciplinary team of providers, collaborating to provide an individualized treatment approach that recognizes each child's individual needs and personality.
Our Pediatric Speech Language Pathologists' Day to Day:: No Treatment Sessions after 4pm!

- Maintain a caseload of individual speech therapy sessions, small group sessions and daily case management tasks.
- Complete daily treatment notes, daily data input and analysis, evaluations, plan of care documents and other documentation as needed.
- Participate in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions.
- Participate in on-going collaboration with speech therapy department and fellow speech language pathologists.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.

Speech Language Pathologists SLP Education Requirements:
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Masters degree or Doctorate in Speech and Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with neurodivergent children is a plus

Blue Bird Day is an intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders. Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have three locations throughout Chicago-land.Our West Loop location is unique with two on-site parking lots and across the street from Skinner West Park!

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The working environment may at times be busy with small groups of children and individual sessions with children while other clients/therapists are present. Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.
- Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.
- Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.
