About the Role
\n
Our client, a leading environmental services and industrial operations organization, is hiring a Facility Systems Maintenance and Compliance Engineer to keep its plant systems running reliably and in compliance. This role owns maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation for critical process systems, works closely with controls and IT teams, and supports environmental and regulatory reporting.

What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Maintain and troubleshoot process systems, including air pollution control and treatment systems, thermal systems, process piping and mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, hydraulics), process instrumentation, and continuous emissions monitoring systems
- Partner with the facility controls systems engineer and IT to implement changes to the plantwide distributed control system (DCS) hardware and HMI software
- Manage subcontracted engineering and construction personnel, including preparing scopes, performance specifications, budgets, and procurement schedules
- Update and maintain engineering drawings and facility documentation for permit submittals and agency inspections
- Monitor equipment availability and system performance, and implement upgrades
- Support operations with turnaround planning and equipment replacement or modification scheduling
- Oversee the facility maintenance group
- Manage historical systems data for compliance reporting, including semiannual air reports and recurring regulatory status reports
- Support additional duties as assigned

What You Bring
\n

- B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong computer skills with standard and custom software, including CAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Preferred
\n
- \n
- Experience with Micro-DCS/PLC programming and PC-based HMI software; training available for the right candidate
\n
\n
\n
Working Conditions
\n
- \n
- Facility work involves potential exposure to noise, dust, and hot and cold temperatures, as well as regulated industrial environments
- Climbing, walking, and lifting are regular daily requirements
