SNELLING is currently recruiting for an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in the East Texas area with a pay range of $16.00-$18.50/hr.. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for someone with trade school training, mechanical aptitude, or hands-on experience who wants to build a career in industrial maintenance. The company is willing to train the right candidate. This position focuses on learning to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including plasma tables, saws, welding equipment, press brakes, shears, and overhead cranes.
• Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Replace worn components and assist with equipment installations and upgrades.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Respond to equipment issues and help maintain efficient plant operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school training, vocational coursework, military experience, or related mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn industrial maintenance.
• Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Basic tool knowledge required; personal tools are not required.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
