About the Opportunity
\n
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Facilities to lead all facility operations at a large multi-building campus in Front Royal, Virginia.
\n
This role offers full operational ownership of a complex property portfolio spanning approximately 250,000-300,000 sq. ft., providing the chance to lead maintenance operations, oversee major capital projects, manage budgets, and partner directly with executive leadership on long-term facilities strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations & Leadership
\n

- Lead and develop a team of maintenance and grounds professionals.
- Drive preventative maintenance programs and operational excellence across the site.
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems.
\n

Physical Plant & Infrastructure Management
\n

- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Maintain facility compliance, safety standards, and operational performance.
- Manage day-to-day physical plant operations across a multi-building campus.

\n
\n
Capital Projects & Vendor Management
\n

- Lead facility upgrades, renovations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Manage external contractors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee project delivery from planning through completion.
\n

Budget & Strategic Planning
\n
- \n
- Manage operating budgets and facility-related expenditures.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop long-term facilities strategies.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.

Emergency Response
\n

- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility emergencies.
- Maintain operational readiness and business continuity plans.

Requirements
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of senior-level facilities management, physical plant operations, or multi-site property management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong hands-on expertise in HVAC, MEP systems, and building infrastructure.
- Industry certifications such as CFM, FMP, SMA, CEFP, BOMI, APPA, IFMA, AFE, or equivalent highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and capital projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
