Compensation Range: $135K+
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science with 7+ years of steel mill experience.
- Strong knowledge of steel metallurgy, product specifications, chemical analysis, mechanical testing, and metallurgical testing.
- Proven experience with quality control, process control, root-cause investigation, and corrective actions.
- Ability to work directly with Melt Shop and Rolling Mill operations to resolve quality issues, establish procedures, and support new product development.
- Strong customer-facing technical skills, including resolving quality claims, interpreting specifications, and supporting product applications.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-development experience, including managing metallurgists, lab personnel and other quality-related employees
