We are seeking an experienced and dependable Marina Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of boats and marina equipment. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical experience who enjoys working on boats, troubleshooting issues, and keeping equipment in safe working condition.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on boats and marine equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving boat engines, electrical systems, and other onboard components.
- Assist with engine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Inspect and repair boat components to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain marina equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Assist with launching, retrieving, moving, and positioning boats as needed.
- Identify mechanical problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Follow all safety procedures when working around boats, tools, fuel, and marina equipment.
- Assist with general marina upkeep and other maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with boat maintenance, marine mechanics, automotive repair, diesel mechanics, or general mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of engines, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to learn and work as part of a team.
