The Maintenance Technician II is a mid-level technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated systems, conveyors, and facility equipment. This role serves as a primary responder to equipment issues and supports preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives. Success requires reliability, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment (up to 480V)
- Maintain motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshot automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging equipment)
- Resolve jams, sensor faults, and minor electrical or pneumatic failures
- Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations
- Read and interpret electrical schematics; perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics
- Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS
- Identify equipment issues and support continuous improvement and RCA efforts
- Collaborate with team members, vendors, and support staff; assist junior technicians

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

Experience with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems

Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting

Familiarity with CMMS systems
Physical Requirements

Stand and walk throughout a shift

Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods

Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds

Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
