Job Title: Entry-Level Computer Technician
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Entry-Level Computer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building, diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing desktop and laptop computers and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop computers.
- Assemble and disassemble computer systems and components.
- Install, configure, and reload operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot hardware drivers, firmware, and software applications.
- Configure and manage system hardware through tools such as Windows Device Manager and BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Perform hardware upgrades and component replacements, including RAM, storage drives, power supplies, and other internal components.
- Test and verify system functionality after repairs and operating system installations.
- Assist with inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
- Refurbish and prepare computers for resale or deployment.
- Maintain organized work areas and accurate inventory records.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while meeting quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience building desktop computers from components.
- Experience disassembling and reassembling desktop and laptop computers.
- Experience installing and configuring Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience installing, updating, and troubleshooting device drivers.
- Familiarity with Windows Device Manager, BIOS/UEFI settings, and hardware diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience refurbishing used computers and laptops.
- Prior experience in a computer repair, IT support, or electronics refurbishment environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management, shipping, and receiving processes.
