- The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality.
- Servicing and repairing complex equipment.
- Complies with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program.
Responsibilities:
- Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
- Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
- Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
- Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
Requirements:
- Experience: Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
- Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
- Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
- Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
- Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.

Education:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
