As a Security Flex Officer - DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.61 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a front desk post at a defense-related location.
Monitor visitor entry and lobby activity, verify credentials and/or visitor documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site policies.
Answer phones, greet employees, visitors, and contractors, and communicate directions, instructions, and/or security-related information in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Complete logs, reports, and front desk records related to access activity, incidents, and/or unusual conditions, following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
