Application Engineer

As an Applications Engineer at Morrison Container Handling Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our advanced manufacturing processes and our customers' needs. You will work closely with the sales, engineering, and production teams to develop and implement technical solutions that meet customer requirements, enhance product performance, and drive innovation. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical Support: Provide technical support to the sales team by understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.

\n

• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to gather detailed specifications, understand their needs, and provide technical guidance on product capabilities and limitations.

\n

• Solution Development: Develop customized solutions by collaborating with the design and production teams, ensuring that products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

\n

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including technical reports, product specifications.

\n

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, product enhancements, and cost reductions, and work with cross-functional teams to implement these initiatives.

• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.

\n

QUALIFICATIONS:

\n

\n
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

\n

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in an applications engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

\n

• Critical Thinking and Decision-Making Skills: Ability to foresee and correct potential problems using good logic and reasoning; able to identify strengths and weaknesses of approaches to problems and potential solutions.

\n

• Communication and Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems and review related information with colleagues to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

\n

• Engineering and Technology: Mastery of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures.

\n

• Mechanical Skills: Mastery of mechanical systems and their designs, uses, repair and maintenance; including, but not limited to, bearing types and configurations, tolerances, serviceability and timing screw design Microsoft Suite, Autodesk Inventor, ERP system.
