Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting and performing maintenance on plastic machine equipment, including Thermoforming machines, extruders, heaters, compressors, pumps, conveyors, and grinders. This role demands electrical troubleshooting, particularly on servo drives, PLCs, and motors, as well as mechanical maintenance tasks such as preventative maintenance, greasing, and equipment troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will use schematics, meters, and blueprints and employ technology for preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and equipment repair.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain plastic machine equipment, including Thermoforming machines, extruders, and grinders.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on servo drives, PLCs, and motors.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, greasing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Utilize schematics, meters, and blueprints for equipment maintenance.
- Use computers and technology to perform preventative maintenance, manage breakdowns, and repair equipment independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Ability to handle basic mechanical issues and general maintenance on equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage variable situations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others

Work Environment

The position offers 12-hour rotating shifts, with openings on both day (7am-7pm) and night (7pm-7am) shifts, providing regular overtime opportunities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Portage, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
