Title: Senior Fortinet Security Engineer Lead
Hours: 40hrs/wk must be local but will have remote flexibility
Duration: 2-3 months for initial implementation 1 year contract
Pay: $70-$80/hr
Start Date: October 5th
Overview:
Seeking a Senior Fortinet Security Engineer to support a multi-site Fortinet network security deployment across Massachusetts. This person will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and onsite support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Fortinet firewall and security appliance deployments
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate, VPN, firewall policies, routing, and security services
- Assist with multi-site network security implementations and migrations
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues in production environments
- Provide onsite technical support during critical deployment periods
- Work closely with client IT teams and provide knowledge transfer and training
- Document configurations, network changes, and deployment procedures
- Provide technical leadership to other engineers on the project
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet/FortiGate
- 5+ years of network security engineering experience
- Experience with firewall deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and network security
- Experience supporting enterprise/multi-site environments
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work onsite in Massachusetts
Preferred Fortinet Certifications:
- Fortinet NSE 4 — FortiGate Operator/Administrator level
- Fortinet NSE 5 — Security Management
- Fortinet NSE 6 — Advanced networking/security solutions
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP)
- Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist (FCSS)
Ideal Candidate:
A hands-on Fortinet expert who can lead the technical deployment, troubleshoot issues onsite, and work directly with the client's IT team throughout implementation and knowledge transfer.
