Entech is hiring a Big Data Architect for a financial services client. This is a Hybrid role that involves working onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania OR Charlotte NC

A Big Data Architect for financial client services designs and oversees massive, secure, and compliant data systems that process client financial portfolios, transactions, and analytics

\n
Key Responsibilities

- Design Big Data Systems: Build scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and warehouses using distributed tools like Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
- Ensure Compliance and Security: Enforce strict financial regulations, data governance, and privacy standards (such as GDPR, SEC, or PCI-DSS).
- Client Data Integration: Integrate external and internal financial data streams for client reporting, risk analysis, and wealth management platforms.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage multi-terabyte or petabyte datasets on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake.
- Cross-Team Leadership: Translate complex business needs from financial stakeholders into technical database models and data flows.

Required Skills & Qualifications
\n

- Experience: 15+ years in data engineering or enterprise architecture, with specific background in financial services or banking.
- Technical Stack: Advanced SQL, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Big Data Frameworks: Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive, or Databricks.
- Data Modeling: Mastery of dimensional modeling, master data management (MDM), and metadata lineage tracking.
- Must have Strong AWS experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
