Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Building Automation Assistant Project Manager in the San Jose area to help deliver DDC and BACnet control projects for a commercial mechanical contractor.
Impact
- Keep automation projects on schedule and on budget.
- Make sure controls tie cleanly into HVAC, lighting, and energy systems.
- Grow into a lead project manager role on a clear path.
Responsibilities
- Support the project manager on timelines, budgets, and quality.
- Coordinate design and installation of DDC systems using BACnet.
- Draft and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences in AutoCAD and Visio.
- Work with manufacturers and vendors on Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Metasys, and Schneider systems.
- Help test, troubleshoot, and tune systems for efficiency.
Must-Haves
- Three or more years in building automation controls with a stable local work history.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Comfort with AutoCAD and Visio.
Nice-to-Haves
- EIT or PE license.
- Field commissioning experience.
Compensation and Logistics
