National On‑Site Workforce Implementation Manager
Job Description
Job DescriptionNational On‑Site Workforce Implementation Manager
Region: Southeastern U.S. (GA, SC, NC, TN, AL preferred) • Travel: 80–90% nationwide with frequent overnights
What a week in this role can look like
Monday dawns at a new client facility. You’re on the floor by shift change, mapping the current process, greeting supervisors, and reviewing headcount targets. By Tuesday, you’re interviewing candidates, coordinating onboarding, and standing up the timekeeping workflow. Midweek, you’re coaching the on‑site team—modeling how to conduct corrective actions with empathy and clarity. Thursday, you meet with client HR and operations leaders to review performance metrics, risks, and action items. Friday, you finalize payroll and billing checks, document improvements, and hand off a stabilized operation—before wheels up to your next assignment.
What you will lead
- Plan and execute new on‑site launches—from initial setup through stabilization and handoff.
- Serve as interim on‑site leadership during openings, transitions, vacancies, or surge needs.
- Own full-cycle talent activities: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training.
- Develop and mentor Workforce Operations Managers and site teams to high performance.
- Drive engagement and accountability: attendance, performance, investigations, and separations.
- Monitor staffing levels; proactively address recruiting pipelines, attendance trends, and turnover.
- Oversee workforce administration including timekeeping, payroll, billing, reporting, and WFM processes.
- Build trust with client HR, operations, and site leadership; serve as a reliable point of contact.
- Diagnose process gaps, implement practical fixes, and measure outcomes.
- Resolve escalations involving employees, clients, and site operations with urgency and professionalism.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and client requirements.
- Report site performance, risks, and mitigation plans to IWS leadership.
What you bring
- 5+ years in workforce operations, staffing, recruiting, employee relations, client management, multi‑site leadership, or similar (preferred).
- Proven ability to independently run an on‑site workforce program.
- Hands‑on expertise across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience training and coaching managers and teams.
- Strong background launching new sites, programs, or accounts (strongly preferred).
- Exceptional client communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Skilled at rapidly assessing unfamiliar operations and prioritizing what matters most.
- Working knowledge of HRIS, ATS, timekeeping, payroll, and workforce management systems (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively across the U.S.
Travel, location, and work style
- Expect 80–90% travel nationwide, including frequent overnights and extended on‑site assignments.
- Home base in GA, SC, NC, TN, or AL preferred—ideally near a major airport.
- Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and short‑notice trips may be required by client needs.
- When not traveling or deployed to a client site, you will work remotely.
- This role thrives on adaptability, self‑direction, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves wherever needed.
