Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer I to join our engineering team in Elgin, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in systems engineering, networking, virtualization, and technical support. The successful candidate will participate in system-level design, requirements management, customer support, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Participate in system-level architecture, design, and requirements gathering.
• Support system integration, testing, validation, and customer acceptance activities.
• Modify, enhance, and upgrade existing system designs.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve system issues.
• Develop and implement solutions for complex engineering problems.
• Maintain system-level knowledge of video technologies and industry standards.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking technologies including TCP/IP and Ethernet.
• Support VMware environments and virtual machines.
• Work with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Utilize systems engineering methodologies and requirements management tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience with system design and requirements management.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including:
o TCP/IP
o Ethernet
o Basic Routing & Switching
• Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Experience with video technologies or broadcast systems
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle
