Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Estimator to support a diverse portfolio of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. This position will lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates while partnering with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate combines strong estimating expertise with an understanding of conceptual engineering, construction methods, value engineering, cost risk, and project execution.

Projects may span multiple technologies, including utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS), transmission and distribution, substations, power generation, hydrogen, pipelines, water infrastructure, fiber/communications, and emerging energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Lead development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed project cost estimates
- Develop pricing models and estimating methodologies for new and existing projects
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, scopes, and project documentation to establish quantities and cost assumptions
- Perform conceptual engineering and develop preliminary construction approaches to support estimating
- Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams to develop comprehensive estimates
- Perform value engineering and identify opportunities to improve project economics
- Obtain and evaluate contractor, subcontractor, supplier, equipment, labor, and material pricing
- Perform cost-risk analysis and develop appropriate project contingencies
- Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate new cost information into estimating models
- Present estimates, assumptions, risks, and value-engineering alternatives to project leadership and stakeholders
- Track cost trends and estimate changes throughout project development and execution
- Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, historical cost information, and best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced estimators

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of project estimating experience, including conceptual engineering and project design
- Experience supporting utility-scale energy, power generation, renewable energy, transmission, or other major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and project execution
- Experience with value engineering, cost analysis, risk assessment, and contingency development
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present estimates, assumptions, and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
\n

- 7+ years of project estimating experience
- Master’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of field engineering or construction management experience
- Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
- Experience with estimating platforms such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Experience estimating projects across multiple energy or infrastructure technologies
