HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry

Salary: $40.62/hour

Shift Options:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (+$2.00/hour shift differential)

3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (+$2.50/hour shift differential)

Location: St. Louis, MO

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, rebuild, and maintain equipment controls including PCs, PLCs, and custom controllers.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and debug electronic control systems used in manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs, CNC equipment, servo motors, servo valves, encoders, controller I/O, and PC-based control systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and network-related equipment issues.
  • Interpret, create, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, blueprints, circuit drawings, and PLC ladder logic.
  • Build and wire control panels, develop bills of materials, and complete equipment upgrade projects.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities.
  • Complete fabrication, welding, brazing, and mechanical repairs as needed.
  • Operate hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Track equipment repair costs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Operate forklifts after successful certification and eye examination.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Electronics Technology, PC Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field with an emphasis in PLCs, controls, hydraulics, or mechanical systems.
  • OR 5+ years of on-the-job experience in industrial controls (4+ years for trainee eligibility).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, ladder logic, industrial controls, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CNC diagnostics, servo systems, sensors, relays, light curtains, proximity switches, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
  • Experience building and wiring control panels and completing automation projects from planning through startup.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems, network interfaces, data storage, and industrial I/O systems.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to produce high-quality solder joints, wiring harnesses, and electrical connections.
  • Welding and brazing experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to successfully complete forklift training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
