Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned, results-driven Program Engineer / Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead complex technical projects and maintain rigorous security standards for key defense manufacturing programs.
In this hybrid-impact role, you will bridge the gap between Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Floor Operations while maintaining active oversight of our facility’s security policies. You will serve as the primary technical interface for defense clients, driving projects through the entire lifecycle - from design and initial procurement to assembly, quality validation, and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Engineering Management:
• Lead cross-functional engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to execute defense contracts on time, within budget, and to exact technical specifications.
• Oversee project timelines, risk assessments, scope management, and technical deliverables across full production lifecycles.
• Act as the core technical liaison between client stakeholders, program managers, and internal shop floor execution teams.
• Resolve engineering bottlenecks, track design/build changes, and drive continuous process improvements across product integration workflows.
Facility Security Officer (FSO) & Compliance:
• Maintain full oversight of company security protocols, ensuring absolute compliance with DCSA guidelines and NISPOM requirements.
• Manage security clearance processing, briefing/debriefing procedures, and visitor access control.
• Coordinate facility security audits and self-inspections; maintain accurate records and documentation in federal security systems.
• Oversee compliance regarding high-risk materials, including ATF regulations and AA&E (Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives) protocols where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program/project engineering within a defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Security Background: Active Secret (or Top Secret) Security Clearance required; proven experience serving as an FSO or Assistant FSO.
• Core Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of NISPOM guidelines, DCSA operational manuals, and defense facility clearance management.
• Technical Aptitude: Hands-on background with complex hardware, military electronics, or mechanical assemblies.
Preferred:
• Master's degree (M.S. in Engineering or MBA).
• Direct hands-on experience with ATF compliance and AA&E handling within defense manufacturing.
• Prior background managing programs involving military/aerospace electronics, systems integration, or weapon systems.
