Maintenance Assistant
Job Summary:
At Riverside Commons, we are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall operations of our facility, including interior and exterior maintenance, electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and coordinating scheduled service from outside vendors. If you are a "jack of all trades" with a strong sense of customer service and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

Assist in overall plant operations, including interior and exterior maintenance

Perform electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed

Coordinate scheduled service from outside vendors, including but not limited to HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing services

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations
Requirements:
-
2 years of prior maintenance experience in all areas (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

Experience working with seniors and state/local agencies for inspections is a plus

Prior work experience in a long-term care or other healthcare setting is preferred

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs
