We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical facility systems within a dynamic industrial manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a driven professional with strong technical expertise in areas such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing/Piping, or Central Utility Plant Operations, who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable building operations.
As a member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring all building systems operate at peak performance while supporting preventative maintenance initiatives and continuous facility improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on:
- Mechanical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Structural components
- Fire and Life Safety systems
- Building automation and control systems
- Facility furniture and general infrastructure
- Maintain and optimize HVAC systems through:
- Equipment inspections
- Preventive maintenance activities
- Cleaning, calibration, and component replacement
- Performance monitoring and adjustments
- Monitor equipment operation, record readings, and make necessary adjustments to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Support facility operations including:
- Preventive maintenance programs
- Purchasing and inventory management
- Contractor coordination and oversight
- General facility maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and hazardous material handling requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools, instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Evaluate the quality and cost-effectiveness of work performed by third-party service providers.
- Identify, report, and eliminate potential safety hazards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial or industrial building systems.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical equipment
- Plumbing systems
- Building operations and maintenance
- Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Two years of technical or trade school education focused on:
- Electrical systems
- Refrigeration
- HVAC technologies
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with industrial air compressor systems (4 compressors onsite).
- Minimum 2 years of industrial plumbing experience.
- Experience with:
- Cooling towers
- Exhaust fan systems
- Manufacturing or industrial facilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
