Job Description

Our client is a leading semiconductor company developing innovative power management solutions for applications across mobile, consumer, IoT, industrial, automotive, and battery-powered systems.

Our client's Power Management team is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer to help develop next-generation power management ICs. This role will focus on the architecture, design, and validation of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver efficient, reliable, and market-leading semiconductor products.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence several days per week in either the Dallas, Texas area, or the San Jose, California area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced analog power management ICs.
  • Define product architecture and specifications in collaboration with system engineers.
  • Develop and evaluate circuit topologies to optimize performance, efficiency, manufacturability, and yield.
  • Perform transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and verification.

· Collaborate with layout engineers to optimize floorplanning, parasitic, and silicon performance.

· Collaborate with global engineering teams throughout the product development cycle.

  • Partner with test and characterization engineers to support validation, debug, and production readiness.
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide clear documentation of design decisions, tradeoffs, and results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
  • 8+ years of experience designing analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Strong experience with DC-DC converter architectures and control methods, including voltage-mode and current-mode control.
  • Experience in bringing power management ICs through development and into production.
  • Knowledge of EDA tools and design flows, including parasitic extraction, signal integrity, EMIR analysis, capacitive coupling analysis, and related methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
