Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support for end users in Woodside, California. This is a Contract position focused on resolving desktop and system issues, supporting Microsoft Windows environments, and delivering responsive service through ticket-based support. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting day-to-day technical problems, maintaining user access, and ensuring a smooth support experience across hardware and software needs.
Responsibilities:
• Provide front-line technical assistance for desktop, laptop, and Windows-related issues reported by end users.
• Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and operating system problems in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Manage user account support tasks within Active Directory, including access updates and basic administrative changes.
• Monitor, prioritize, and complete service desk tickets while keeping users informed on progress and resolution.
• Set up, configure, and support Windows 10 workstations and related peripheral devices.
• Escalate more complex incidents when needed and document troubleshooting steps for accurate issue tracking.
• Support day-to-day system access and endpoint functionality to help maintain uninterrupted business operations.• Experience providing help desk or desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic user and access administration.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and general Microsoft Windows platforms.
• Ability to perform foundational troubleshooting for hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Familiarity with managing and updating service desk tickets in a structured support process.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and professionally.
• Ability to organize workload effectively and respond to support requests with urgency and accuracy.
