Job Description Job Title: Assistant Project Manager, Civil Infrastructure Employment Type: Full Time Location: Goldsboro, NC Pay: $DOE per year Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7am-5pm Job Summary: ssists project manager in providing overall management and direction of one (1) or more projects by planning, directing, and coordinating construction and financial activities ensuring safe completion on time and under budget. Supports the Project Manager in managing overall project profit and loss. Key Responsibilities: · Assist Project Managers with the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of civil infrastructure projects. · Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project schedules. · Coordinate daily activities among field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and consultants. · Track project progress, milestones, costs, labor, materials, and equipment. · Assist with preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. · Review subcontractor and supplier proposals, purchase orders, invoices, and change-order requests. · Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, and project documentation. · Assist with quantity tracking, material takeoffs, cost estimates, and progress payments. · Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. · Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent
- OSHA 10 Certified
- Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, ProCore, etc.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Experience planning and scheduling
- Ability to prepare a subcontractor scope of work
- Experience with pricing, purchasing, negotiating, and preparing purchase orders for materials and equipment
- Experience reading and understanding drawings
- Team-focused
- Strong leadership, motivation, planning, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Safe work or No work mindset; fully committed to safety and jobsite standards, policies, and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, CAPM, EIT, PE, CCM, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
