Job Description
Hiring: Senior Appian Developer
\n
\n
iShift is looking for a senior Appian developer for a federal client
\n
building a new enterprise booking and scheduling application from the
\n
ground up. One dedicated seat, embedded with the client's team, hands-on
\n
from requirements through post-MVP stabilization. This is a build role,
\n
not a maintenance role.
\n
\n
What you'd be building:
\n
• A unified self-service request portal replacing several disconnected
\n
intake channels, with a guided wizard that routes each request to the
\n
right fulfilling group
\n
• Back-office dashboards and reporting for the staff who work the queue
\n
• Integration with an existing Appian room reservation application so
\n
bookings flow through to the right team automatically
\n
\n
Must have:
\n
• 3+ years developing full-time on Appian
\n
• ACTIVE Appian Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification — this
\n
one is non-negotiable and lapsed credentials don't count
\n
• 5+ years in a related IT role
\n
• Web API development
\n
• Configuring Appian with complex API integrations, data structures,
\n
business rules, and group/user security
\n
• Leading requirements workshops with non-technical stakeholders
\n
• Performance tuning of Appian processes and interfaces
\n
• MariaDB (preferred), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MSSQL
\n
• HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON
\n
• Microsoft Office including Visio
\n
• Agile/Scrum
\n
• Able to pass a federal background check
\n
\n
What makes you stand out:
\n
• Appian solutions that schedule requests across multiple assignable
\n
resources
\n
• Appian integrated with the Microsoft Graph API for calendar events
\n
• Pentaho PDI or comparable ETL
\n
• ClickUp
\n
• Local to the DC metro area
