Pay Rate: $30.00 - $34.00/hour
Job Type: Long-Term Contract (1 Year)
Schedule: 100% Onsite | Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Potential: Opportunity to convert to full-time for the right candidate
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician (Electrician Maintenance I) to join a manufacturing facility in Midland, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment used in pipe production. The ideal candidate will have experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with PLCs, drives, and related industrial equipment.
Schedule & Training
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- Overtime and on-call opportunities available
- Some Saturdays required
- Training will be conducted on first shift (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) for approximately 3 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and plant systems
- Complete scheduled daily, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain drives, PLCs, motors, controls, and related industrial equipment
- Order replacement parts and maintenance supplies as needed
- Monitor equipment performance and communicate repair status to supervisors and management
- Collect oil samples for analysis and assist with equipment reliability programs
- Utilize oil analysis data to determine maintenance and replacement schedules
- Recommend and implement equipment improvements to increase efficiency and reliability
- Participate in on-call support and emergency repair activities as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
- Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, and industrial control systems
- Ability to work a night shift schedule and occasional Saturdays
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Experience in pipe manufacturing or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Experience with equipment modifications and continuous improvement initiatives
