Position Summary:
\n
The primary function of the 2nd shift Facilities Supervisor is to oversee the maintenance and repairs of all building systems, equipment, facilities, and grounds to provide a safe and operationally sound building. This position supervises the Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation personnel (where applicable) in terms of work assignments and performance management. The Facilities Supervisor works with local service providers, inspectors and property asset managers in caring for the overall functional performance of the building and equipment.

Pay Rate: $75,000 annually

Essential Functions of Job:
\n
- \n
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Direct the assessment, repair and documentation for equipment and facility preventative maintenance, cleaning and repair activities.
- Supervise the completion of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities for motorized material handling equipment, conveyor belts and building HVAC systems.
- Anticipate potential facility and equipment problems and develop a plan of action to prevent the problem from affecting the Distribution Center’s operation, in partnership with the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure that parts stock for maintenance department is maintained to promote efficiencies of service.
- Maintain company and required federal OSHA and state-mandated standards pertaining to safety for maintenance/mechanical activities, sanitation and housekeeping.
- Provide training and guidance to Maintenance Team to assist in their ongoing skills enhancement and career development.
- Ensure that Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates meet performance standards and comply with safety policies and regulations.
- Work with vendors to and contractors to ensure work is performed according to agreed terms.

Minimum Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree preferred or 3 or more years of experience in facilities and maintenance supervision, in a Distribution Center or warehousing environment.
- Automated Process Control or Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience.
- Understanding of and experience with HVAC systems.
- Previous experience using, training, and enforcing Lock-out/Tag-out process, fall protection, and other required OSHA and state required safety regulations.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience.
- Extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. CFM certification or pursuing CFM certification a plus.
- Formal electrical/electronic, technician or mechanical millwright training. are a plus.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
